OCFERRETS KICK OFF MEETING!!!

On September 9, 2006 - OC Ferrets had their kickoff meeting to officially start taking care of ferret business in Orange County. With the help of supporters already in our corner, we had a fun day of games, raffles, information and outreach to any and all in attendance. Before the meeting, we had 25 individuals R.S.V.P for the meeting, which had us all very hopeful for a great meeting! Happily, we had more than 20 people in attendance who were all eager to get involved. Those who didn't make it, missed a great time - but we do hope to see you at our next meeting that will be scheduled in October. We started the meeting with a couple of key speakers, starting with the founders of OCFerrets

..and then we heard from the Founder of Ferrets Anonymous, Pat Wright.

Next, we played several rounds of ferret golf, where ferret enthusiasts took turns putting into ferret igloos for points towards a ferrety prize!

After everyone took turns trying to be Tiger Woods, we had a question-and-answer session where we awarded water balloons for the correct answers to questions pertaining to ferret safety and health! Those water balloons were used to take shots at three corner litter boxes setup to challenge participants! The winner, was able to choose a prize from a selection of door prizes with ferret-friendly gifts inside!

After plenty of balloon-throwing, and putting into hidey holes, we took time out to laugh at ourselves, and each other!

When all was said and done, we'd had a great time together and can't wait until our next meeting! Now its time to map out exactly who will do what within the organization and determine how to keep OCFerrets growing!
